One Very Odd Teacher by Robbie Yates

The Blurb

The humming noise got louder. Adam willed himself to focus. He had to finish his math test.

Suddenly, the noise became unbearable. He glanced up.

Mrs Murphy was inches away, leaning over another kid’s desk. Was the noise coming from her?

***

Every child remembers a teacher who was a little bizarre, prickly or ill-tempered. Some teachers, though, are very odd indeed, and warrant some closer attention…

This quirky chapter book will thrill kids who are adventurous, brave, and a little bit cheeky!

What I Thought

A really fun book that I read in a couple of sittings.  The only reason it was two and not one was the fact it was getting so late and I had a very early start the next day!

This is a children’s book and one I know both my boy’s will enjoy.  It is funny and Adam is a great character.  Robbie Yates humour will really make the boys laugh (it even did me) and the design of the book is great, with some fab visuals.  The chapters are short making it perfect for kids who have just started to read chapter books, as well as the more prolific readers who would probably get through a few chapters at a time.

Lots of humour and very relatable for children – they will all be able to pick out one of their own teacher’s who they have found a bit odd!  Perfect stocking filler for Christmas.
