Hallotober Tag

Good morning and happy Saturday! Today I am taking part in a blogger tag and this one is Halloween themed so very appropriate for this month.

Questions:

1. What’s your favourite thing about October?

Mine is definitely some fall fashion! I love tights and boots weather and it isn’t so cold you have to wear loads of layers and a huge coat yet!

2. Are you a big celebrator of Halloween? 

If the kids are at ours for Halloween we will take them out and go trick or treating locally. We also decorate a little out the front and have sweets in for anyone coming here. Otherwise we enjoy a spooky movie and some treats together under a blanket together!

3. What’s your favourite horror movie?

I am not a big horror fan… does Hotel Transylvania count?!?! I do watch them with my boyfriend as he keeps me safe, I enjoyed The Purge and am an old school fan – things like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer.

4. Would you rather a cosy night in watching horrors or a big night out in a costume?

Definitely in! I am a wimp!

5. Which has been your most favourite costume to date? 

I haven’t dressed up in a long time but loved my Snow White costume. It was very strange having dark hair, even if just for one night!

6. Bobbing for apples or pin the hat on the witch? 

Bobbing for apples, then coating them in chocolate or toffee to eat!

7. How do you celebrate Halloween? 

As I said before, we tend to take the kids trick or treating if they are here and enjoy a ‘scary’ movie with our treats and some hot chocolate back at home. I also love to get crafty with the kids and we do a lot of Autumn and Halloween crafts during October.

8. What’s your least favourite horror? 

Anything that makes me jump!

9. Do you have a favourite trick or treating memory? 

I never went trick or treating as a child as it wasn’t really big in the UK when I was younger. I love taking the boys out though and it is great seeing the effort some people go to for the kids visiting.

10. What’s your favourite thing about Halloween? 

Definitely the treats and getting all cosy with a hot chocolate when we get home.

11. Scary costume or Silly costume? 

Scary for sure – the boys love to choose something different every year.

12. What’s your favourite Halloween candy? 

Marshmallows to put in the hot chocolate, but pretty much anything goes here!

13. What is your favourite scary/Halloween book?

I read thrillers all year round as it is my favourite genres. Check out my Book Reviews tab and you will plenty I have reviewed and would recommend! I also read Frankenstein at school and while I didn’t appreciate it much at the time, I have definitely got a good understanding and appreciation of it now I am older.
