A note from me – Apologies – this post went live yesterday and something had gone terribly wrong so it was blank – hopefully you can all enjoy it now!

Hello from me, how is your July treating you? I can’t believe we have gone past the half year mark of 2022 already! Today I am sharing a new book that I was kindly asked to be part of the audio book blog tour for.

As you may know, I am an avid reader but also listen to a lot of books on Audible – I like doing this when at home getting ready or when cleaning for example, and when I am driving. I am also a big thriller fan so this one appealed to me straight away and has had some great reviews!

The Blurb

She’s safe from him, a thousand miles from harm. Or so she thought.

‘A gripping, luxurious thriller’ Laura Marshall

‘An irresistible slice of escapism’ TM Logan

‘Full of twists and turns, it will keep you furiously turning the pages…’ Sarah Pearse

‘Pacy, exciting and unpredictable.’ Charlotte Duckworth

‘An addictive page-turner, pulsing with threat. Thrillingly sinister!’ Lucy Clarke

Charlotte and Sam were partners. In life, and in crime, but that’s all behind her.

Until now, years later, it comes rushing back when her estranged ex-husband Sam suddenly goes missing. And someone threatens to expose what she did.

Desperate to escape her mysterious tormentor, Charlotte boards a luxurious superyacht in the Caribbean. But it soon becomes clear that the open ocean isn’t the haven she thought it was.

Because they are onboard too. And now there’s nowhere left to run.

What I Thought

I blasted through this book in just three days – a sure fire way to know you are enjoying something!

The Ex-Husband is a wild ride – full of suspense, twists and turns. I thought I had guessed the plot twist early on, but what I didn’t know was how much more there was to come! The author has created a great central character – Charlotte – and while you might love or hate her (I’m still undecided) you want to find out what happens to her.

Exciting and nail0biting – everything you want from a thriller! I enjoyed the audio version of this book and felt the narrator did a great job. I am sure this would work just as well in book form if that’s what you prefer and I would recommend to all thriller fans or those looking for a good holiday read.

Audio Extract

The publisher’s very kindly shared this audio clip with me so I could give you all a taster of the book in audio form! An Audible subscription is really easy to set up. I pay £7.99 a month and that gives me a credit each month to get one book. You can also buy more credits if you find this isn’t enough and cancel anytime, whilst getting to keep the books you have already purchased.

Where To Buy

Buy from my Amazon shop

I hope you have enjoyed my review and the audio clip – a little teaser trailer for you there! The blog tour is running until Sunday and you can check out other people’s reviews from the blog tour poster below. Take care and have a great month,
