So, I did a thing. Well, I signed up for a thing. And I am already regretting it BUT I know it will be a good thing!
If your head is going crazy from that intro – I apologise, let me explain! So, I was scrolling on Facebook the other day and saw a post from Versus Arthritis. They are planning a fundraising event for people with arthritis as well as their friends and family to get involved with.
Versus Arthritis are challenging people to do 10,000 steps a day for every day in October and this wally here has decided to sign up. I haven’t done that many steps in a long time. When I used to do the school runs I would make this count easily every day, but that has not been happening for a while now!
I am not sure of the reason I thought this would be a good idea but I am signed up now and hopefully I can raise some money for a great cause. And this is where you, my lovely readers come in. I have a Facebook donation page set up and I would love it if you could support me.
I understand that not everyone will be able to spare a few pennies but please consider sharing it on your social media so as many people as possible will see it. Any donation, big or small, will be hugely appreciated by me and I have set myself a target of raising £100.
Although I am slightly horrified at myself for thinking this might be a good idea, it is supposed to be a challenge! I am trying to increase my step count during the days leading up to October, to give myself the best possible chance of completing it. I am just hoping my arthritis behaves so I can get this done. It will also be great for both my body and mind and help get my fitness levels back up a bit.
As always, thankyou for reading and supporting the blog and me, it really does mean so much. Expect to see lots of me moaning alongside sweaty selfie posts in October – apologies in advance! Take care and keep safe,
