So this week has definitely had me feeling a little low. It was great having the boys for bit longer as it has been half term but this came with the inevitable drop in mood when the went back to their Dad’s.
I spotted this on Pinterest a while ago but thought now was the perfect time to do it. It was shared by Catherine who writes over at Holding Arrows, which is a fab blog you should check out as well!
Hygge is a Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. As a cultural category with its sets of associated practices hygge has more or less the same meanings in Danish and Norwegian, but the notion is more central in Denmark than in Norway.

With this horrible weather and me and Ste having some time to spend together with no children, I thought it would be great to do this together and he agreed. Taking time to focus on your relationship is so important and something we are definitely trying to focus on at the moment.
Neither of us are currently able to work because of our health so we spend almost all our time together. While this sounds great, it often can cause more problems. We can both get on each others nerves and there is little escape. We also tend to forget to spend quality time together, which this will be perfect for.
So this is what we will be doing for the next week, starting from Friday tomorrow and going till next Thursday. It would be great if some of you wanted to join in too. Let me know if you do in the comments below and how you find it. This is only a short challenge but is exactly what I need at the moment and am really looking forward to it!
